Governor Whitmer has formally announced that the deadline to file state of Michigan taxes has been extended to July 15, matching the federal deadline.

Today, Governor Whitmer issued a shelter in place order starting at midnight tonight and lasting through the next 3 weeks. Due to this order, we will not be able to meet with clients face to face until the mandate is lifted.
If we already have your paperwork, we will be in touch with you as soon as possible to go over everything and finish your return by phone. If we don't, please send your paperwork to us by postal mail, email, or fax, or drop off at our office (there is a mail slot in our back door if we are not in).
The IRS announced at the end of last week that the filing deadline is extended to July 15. Although the state has not made a formal statement, the expectation is that they will follow the federal government's lead.
We appreciate your understanding as we all do our best to navigate this unprecedented situation. Our goal is to provide the best service possible to all of our clients, while doing what we can to keep everyone safe and healthy. Please feel free to call us with any questions or concerns you may have.
